Promote diversity and inclusion in BGC Mercer events.
Launched in January 2023, the BGC Mercer Community Council is made up of local business owners, and operators and members of the community who have committed to supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County. These members will assist the Club by fundraising, volunteering, and networking within Ewing, Lawrence, Trenton and the surrounding towns in an effort to further the mission of the Club. The Council exists to make sure that the voice of the community is included in all events. The Council seeks to represent the diversity of culture, gender, race, sexual orientation, language, and socioeconomic status in the local community.
Activities will include collaboration with Club staff on the creation and execution of fun community oriented events. Provision of input from the community perspective in order to advance the mission of the Club and provide suggestions for community engagement across fundraising and community activities.

This can be done via personal or professional social media, email blasts or through in-person promotion at your local business if applicable. Members will pick-up or be delivered a promotional packet to disseminate. All members are required to complete the BGC Mercer Volunteer Application and profile online, including the background check.
