When you volunteer at The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County, you have the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life. We could not do our life-changing work in our under-served communities without our volunteers! We strive together to help boys and girls ages 3-18 develop the academic, emotional, behavioral, and social skills needed to be successful in school and life. Positive adult role models are critical to success. We invite you to learn more about how you can help local kids build great futures!
Explore volunteer opportunities if you have a group that wishes to donate time and energy. For individuals, we have one-time and recurring volunteer opportunities throughout the year. In our workshops and conferences, as well as with internal operations and special event committees, individual volunteers support us in many ways. We also have volunteer roles to engage routinely with our youth in after-school, teen, college and career programs. For these, we look for caring individuals who can provide young people with emotional support, counsel, friendship, reinforcement, and a constructive example in a structured and trusting relationship.
You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer for opportunities working directly with our BGC youth and teen members.
In addition, we rely on volunteers to run our BGC Computer Exchange and BGC Bike Exchange social enterprises. Volunteers help staff and run these non-profit businesses to support raising money for BGC Mercer programs and training our students. Volunteers can oversee our teens as they collect, repair and sell donated items.
For general volunteer inquiries fill out a brief survey and a member of our staff will be in touch.
