    Mondays and Wednesdays at Spruce Street Clubhouse from 4:30 - 5:30pm.

    Learn important skills, get internship opportunities, and earn stipends.

Career Launch Program

Career Launch is a career exploration and work readiness program for area high school students.  The program was developed by Boys & Girls Clubs of America following Department of Labor guidelines.  This (8) session program helps students

  • Identify potential careers
  • Develop a written career plan
  • Write a resume
  • Learn how to apply for a job & interview

Students who successfully complete the course are eligible to be placed into one of the Clubs Career Based Learning Experiences.

Career Based Learning Experiences
Area High School students can explore potential careers and build entry level skills and experience within these fields.  Students typically participate two days per week to get their 50 hour CBLE completed.  At the end of the program student receive a written reference, and some CBLE lead to part time employment with the Boys & Girls Club..

Career-Based Learning Experiences

Learn on-the-job from experts in their fields.  Gain work experience, learn more something that interests you and add to your resume. Childcare Assistant Career-Based Learning Experience

Gain hands on experience working with kids in our After School Program 2 days a week. 

Opportunities for all 9th-12th graders. 

Flexible schedules available Monday-Fridays 2:30-5:30 pm

 IT Career-Based Learning Experience

Gain hands on experience working with computers.  Learn diagnosis skills, how to install software and how to rebuild a computer.

Opportunities for all 9th-12th graders. 

Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:00-7:00 pm

Bike Exchange Career-Based Learning Experience 

Gain hands on experience repairing & refurbishing bicycles.  Learn bike mechanics & maintenance.

Opportunities for all 9th-12th graders.
