OUR IMPACT
- Boys & Girls Club programs have been having a positive impact on Mercer County youth for 85 years now. Our programs focus on overall youth development in building youth's "40 developmental assets" to help them make the successful transition into adulthood. Club programs focus on impacting Education/Career, Leadership/Character Development, and Healthy Lifestyles. The Club utilizes evidence-based and best practice programs to reach these outcomes. For curriculum, we use Boys & Girls Clubs of America's national programs, source from other clubs, and develop our own.
To this end, with our experiences serving youth, our Club members are more likely to graduate from high school and enter into college, volunteer for community service, and perform better in school. Club members refer to the Club as their second home, and count Club staff as key influencers and mentors in their lives.
The Club operates two social entrepreneurial businesses, a bike exchange and a computer exchange, and closely partners with a local e-bike retailer. These businesses provide a service to the community, career experiences for area teens, and generate revenue to fund Club programs. These entrepreneurial ventures rely on volunteer support for operations, and community support through donated products or purchases. More information about these ventures and volunteer and donor opportunities can be found on this website ar Bike Exchange, Princeton eBikes and Computer Exchange.
