A college education opens up doors, including increased job opportunities, valuable life experiences, and connections. Our College Access Program (CAP) assists local students in exploring their post-secondary education options. In addition, we empower program participants to lead and become change agents in their community.

College Access Program runs all year to support students  as they:

     -  Explore the types of colleges that fit their needs and preferences

     -  Learn about the College Admission Process

     -  Complete college essays and develop references

     -  Offer guidance for financial aid and Scholarship applications

BGC Staff work with participants to develop their unique  post-secondary pathway plans. Each student's plan has tasks for them to complete based on their grade level. The program provides a guide for college readiness and results in greater access to colleges and post-secondary opportunities.

Join us at the Spruce Street Boys & Girls Club for FREE for the 2023 College & Career Fair - October 26, 2023, 5 pm- 7pm.  Meet dozens of colleges, employers, and organizations and talk in person to admissions offices and recruiters. Learn not only about admission requirements, courses of study, and campus life from colleges but hear about summer job opportunities, internships, and career paths from local companies. Our workshops and exhibitors also will share valuable information about financial aid and other college support and admission services.
