David & Stacy Anderson - Doing Our Part to Ensure Opportunity

  • The obvious reason Stacey and I made a planned gift to the Boys & Girls Club is from my 16 year tenure as CEO of the Boys & Girls Club. I've personally have seen the impact of Club programs have on changing kids lives, the caring staff and volunteers who make it all happen. We want to do our part in ensuring future generations of kids have the same opportunity as the youth we serve today.

The not so obvious reason is from the values of my parents embedded on me throughout my life. My mom, Lorraine was a teacher and my dad, Hilton an elementary school psychologist. They taught me that every child is precious, and that one person can make a difference. I see those values in the Boys & Girls Club, and especially in the staff and volunteers that make it run. It is a special place that Mercer County youth need, and cannot be successful it if does not have the resources it needs to operate.

We have selected to designate 5% of my IRA funds to be given to the Club's endowment in our will. A gift to the Club's endowment will be our part in helping to ensure the Club is a thriving place for generations to come. How have you made your legacy gift?
