Teen Learn to Earn Programs

  • Learn to Earn Program for 9-12th Graders

If you like working with your hands, fixing equipment, and are interested in learning how a bike repair shop and bike retail store operate, we have an opportunity for you! You can build job and work experience as a teen at our Bicycle Exchange at BGC Mercer. Students volunteer to repair bikes at our bike store location for 25 hours at the Club’s Bike Exchange in Capital Plaza.  During this period you learn basic bike repair skills, help with typical bike shop chores, learn how to interact with customers and conduct bike sales. There is no cost to enroll and $500 completion stipend is available to eligible students.

This program is limited to the first 10 students who enroll. Students must commit to one day a week, but can come additional days based on availability and to complete their 25 hours faster.

    Days/times:

    Monday 4:45 to 6:30 pm

    Wednesdays 4:45 to 6:30 pm

Saturdays 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
