Committees & Affinity Groups
Get Involved
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County has several affinity groups and committees that meet throughout the year (generally once a month or every other month) to work together to provide resources and input to Club staff in many different ways. Joining one of these committees or groups is a great way to meet others who care about the Club and have a similiar interest. It is a commitment to making an impact at the Club for those that may not have time to volunteer on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Share you input, plan upcoming Club events, provide knowledge on a subject matter you are familiar with. Meetings are often virtual and usually run about one hour. Women's Empowerment Group
In 2023 we are engaging the local community in many new ways, one of which is by launching our Women's Empowerment (W/E), the group will support Club activities for girls and help to provide us with resources for our staff and youth. So far the group has over 20 members and we would love to have you join us. A huge thank to those who have gotten involved with W/E, we appreciate you!
The first ever, BGC W/E Women & Girls Conference to be attended by BGCMC young ladies and female members of the community who wish to empower young women, will take place Thursday, May 11, CLICK HERE to learn more or make a donation to support programs geared toward empowering girls.
