PACF Awards COVID II grant of $25,000

Supports Remote Youth Education in Trenton

The Princeton Area Community Foundation recently awarded the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County with a $25,000 grant to support the Club's work in providing full day remote school support for 200 youth attending the Club's community centers while Trenton schools are 100% virtual learning.  The phase II grant supports the Club in providing internet access to youth, staff support with remote schooling, a hot lunch & snacks, along with an afterschool enrichment program until 5:30 pm.  Having a full day program is critical for Club parents who can't work remotely and need to be at work to get paid as essential workers.  PACF also provided the Club with a $25,000 grant in phase I to enable the Club to open up last June to provide summer camp for area youth and families.  The Club has been open during most of COVID to provide key childcare, food and supplemental education support for Trenton area families. #princetonareaCF
