Fall STEM Conference 2021 offers excitement, hands-on learning, and career insight

Workshops and Panels for Tweens/Teens

Over 120 teens (4th - 9th graders) attended 20 in-person and 15 online. We had 10 workshops from enthusiastic presenters: Mad Science, Princeton University, Domain Technology, Comcast, Princeton Plasma Physics Lab, Theta Tau of TCNJ, Johnson & Johnson, Mercer County Community College, The Hillsborough High School Robotics Team, and a Columbia University Student. We also had 10 volunteers from Bristol Myers Squibb helping us register, organize, and direct. Two career panels provided info on education and career paths and answered questions about different STEM careers. These featured diverse employees from BMS, Comcast, MCCC, Mercer County Technical Services, Stockton University, and a current Columbia University student. It was so inspiring to learn about education and career paths and about the different STEM careers. All the kids had fun and enjoyed some hands-on learning. Thanks to all the volunteers and donors for supporting our BGCM STEM programming.  Click here for event photos
