angle-left Empowering Teens for College

Working on Financial Aid Forms FAFSA with Support

The Club plays a big role in encouraging teens to continue education beyond high school. Attending college or technical school increases a students lifetime earnings by $1.6 million. In Trenton, only 30% of students go to college resulting in economic inequality. By empowering our teens to become first-generation college students, we aim to break the cycle of poverty.

This school year, BGC Mercer unveils our College Access Program (CAP). A dedicated group of students have committed to attending weekly CAP meetings and activities over the course of their Junior and Senior years. Students who successfully complete the program are ensured enrollment into a college/vocational program after high school graduation and will receive a $2,000 educational scholarship provided by BGC Mercer and funded by our generous donors. We could not provide either of these life-changing programs without your support.

You can help by volunteering with our youth, by being a mentor, tutor or guest speaker, by organizing a book, backpack drive or fundraiser for our teens. You can make an impact in the lives of underserved teens. To learn more about what you can do, visit: www.bgcmercer.org or donate today and help us continue our mission
