After School Program Info as of August 2020..

This school year will be challenging as parents seek quality and continuous childcare to ensure they have coverage 5 days a week with varying and changing school schedules. In response, BGC Mercer will provide options in a safe, structured, and caring environment for parents to address their child’s learning, social, and enrichment needs and their family situation.

In all programs, Club staff will utilize the Club’s learning management system, Schoology, to access online learning and partner programming to enhance in-classroom experience. Last year, the Club partnered with organizations such as Art Works, Mad Science, 4H & Trenton Circus Squad. After school, students will also have access to Schoology 24/7 for learning opportunities at any time.

For health & safety, parent drop off and pick up will occur curbside. Parents wishing to speak with Club staff can do so via phone, email, or set up an appointment after program hours.

We have several in-person options at our Centre and Spruce Street Clubhouses:

•  blended (full day & ½ day) per week  &

Parents on BGC After School Program

"My son loves the After School Program (ASP) and is excited to be part of it. He loves the program so much that he always tells me that I come too early to pick him up. The best part of the program is the staff that makes sure they have a personal connection with parents and children. They are aware of where the children are at all times. The STEM program has helped keep my son sharp in math and the science areas. This is the best investment that I have made thus far for my son."
- Tangela W, After School Program Parent

"Our daughter loves it so much that she never wants to go home. She wishes it was an overnight program."

- Olga Carillo-Martinez

"After searching high and low for a program that fits our needs, we decided on the ASP at Boys & Girls Club. My son started in September and absolutely loves it! The staff is great, the building is in impeccable condition and the list of programs and classes they do with them throughout the school year is amazing. Looking forward to the upcoming programs and what it entails for our youth."

- Dana H., After School Program Parent
